FINAL EXAMS

And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. (1 John 3:3)

I remember back in college during examinations how everybody would cram at the last minute. We were all diligent students that week. We gave up sleep, socializing, and even some meals to be prepared for those whopper tests the profs would lay on us. Then after the exams everything would be back to normal. Our priorities shifted back to convenience and personal fulfillment. How did we ever graduate?!

One of these days, we as believers in Christ will be graduating. Jesus will descend in the clouds and we will meet Him in the air where forever we will be with Him (1 Thes 4:16-17). Then we will stand before the judgment seat of Christ to give an account of our lives (1 Cor 3:11-15). But unlike school exams, we have to keep in mind the Lord’s coming will be sudden and without warning. There will be no advanced notice. We just have to be ready! (Mat 25:1-13)

Are you ready for the Lord to come? Are you ready to stand before Him and to have your life reviewed as to how you lived your life for Christ? There will be no time for last minute cramming for the exam. We have to be prepared every moment. (Mat 24:45-51) Let’s live for Jesus everyday and be looking at those clouds, because one of these days Jesus will be there and we’ll be graduating from this life to heaven!

There’s only one life, will soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last!
