"So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. (Eze 22:30)
The nation of Israel had become so corrupt that when God searched for a man who was fed up with the social and spiritual pollution of the land, just one man to say, “This is enough. Let’s get back to the Lord. O God, forgive us and save our nation.” the Lord couldn’t find one person. How sad. What followed was national judgment that brought destruction to the once prosperous land.
God is looking for a man or woman today to stand in the gap for our nation. Our nation may be thriving economically but we are failing morally and spiritually. The foundation of our society, the family, is breaking apart. Soon there will be nothing to hold our country up. The outside looks good but little do we know that the inside is eaten away and weakened, like termite-infested wood.
Brothers and sisters, it’s time to pray!:
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
Let’s tell the Lord we’re going to stand in the gap for our country.
