(Isa 61:1) "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
Isn’t it wonderful to know that Jesus can heal the brokenhearted of this world? So many things can break your heart. People can hurt you, life can disappoint you, and your dreams and aspirations can be long forgotten. But God doesn’t forget us! His thoughts toward us are more than the sand of the sea (Psa 139:17-18). He picks us up from the lowest place and sets us high in the heavens (Eph 2:6). Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psa 30:5). God will also turn your morning into dancing (Psa 30:11).
Whatever you’re going through right now, you need to know God is for you, not against you (Rom 8:31). Your very tears are watering the seed of hopefulness in Christ, which will bring forth abundant fruit and rejoicing (Psa 126:6). And you will have such compassion for the suffering because you yourself have suffered (2 Cor 1:3-4).
I encourage you by faith in God’s promises; get out those dancing shoes because you’re going to need ‘em!
