EVOLUTION OR CREATION?

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. (Psa 19:1)

This past week was one of the most beautiful days I’ve seen. The rain had brought snow and after the storm one of our winds had kicked up clearing the sky leaving the mountains so glorious to command your apt attention. Out my mouth immediately came the words, “Praise the Lord”. And I meant it. It just flowed from my heart. I knew He had created it just for our pleasure. What a treat after all that rain. My, how the Lord loves us!

There’s a lot of reasons I don’t believe in evolution. Here’s just a few:

-It’s just a theory. It’s not based on fact. Shame on those who teach it as such. I thought you were supposed to verify things in science. Teachers need to be true with the facts.

-There is a lack of evidence. How many times have they unearthed something and assumed it was part of the missing link when it was just the bone or the tooth of a human or animal who lived years ago.

-In our universe, things seem to be breaking down instead of building up. Maybe you could use the word devolving instead of evolving. This is confirmed by the Second Law of Thermodynamics briefly explained as: All processes manifest a tendency toward decay and disintegration, with a net increase in what is called the entropy, or state of randomness or disorder, of the system.

-Origins. Many evolutionists refer to the Big Bang Theory. According to the big bang, the universe was created sometime between 10 billion and 20 billion years ago from a cosmic explosion that hurled matter and in all directions. When my daughter was just a little girl she said, “Yeah right Dad, but where did the original matter come from?”

I could go on but you know what I think? I think evolution for many is a cover up for the excuse they need to not acknowledge the existence and sovereignty of God. If you can explain away God through evolution then you are not accountable to a Creator. Sinful man wants permission to behave like an animal when God created man as the crown of His creation for the purpose of enjoying fellowship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. But that would take repentance wouldn’t it?

I’m going to pull from Paul for a conclusion here: (Rom 1:20-22) For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools.
